60s Retro Beach House, Kiama

We saw great promise in this 1962 beach house, which was already oriented perfectly for light, warmth and breeze. However, the view that its original owners enjoyed had since been lost as the area developed. The ground floor is entirely retained, and restored, while the first floor is a seamless extension of the simple vernacular style. The main living areas, with interior design in keeping with ...the 1960s retro style, features vintage sofas facing ocean views. The kitchen design and luxury bathrooms add a certain glamour to the beach house. The parent’s room and guest room are upstairs taking advantage of the regained views while the ground floor has become a kid’s rumpus room and bedrooms.
