Kerrabee Park, Homestead in a Valley

Nestled in a scenic valley, we carefully selected the location for this homestead after ascending a mountain, resisting the temptation to place it further up the valley. The balance between a working farm's practicality and proximity to essential resources led to this strategic choice. The homestead now replaces the original dwelling, featuring warmth, functionality, and spaciousness. ...It welcomes visitors from the distant city with a sense of arrival, offering a place to leave the urban hustle behind. At the rear entrance, a practical breezeway awaits, allowing more familiar guests to kick off their boots, hang a jacket and prepare for their stay. Large verandahs follow the sun's path, connecting the interior through ample glazed doors and windows that provide airflow, sunlight, and pest control. A wood-burning fireplace ensures comfort even during power outages. This Homestead, our second project for the client, fills us with immense pride whenever we visit.
